This past weekend, our family was prayed over and sent out as missionaries to Malawi at the annual When the Saints banquet. Over the next year, we’ll be preparing to relocate and help launch a second safe home for vulnerable girls.

The theme of the night was “Faithful then, faithful now,” and that has been our experience as well.

God has been quietly at work in our family over the past few years—shaping, leading, and preparing us for a step we didn’t fully understand at the time. At the same time, When the Saints was praying and discerning how a second safe home could even be possible. Now we can clearly see that God was working in both.

We are humbled to step into something He has already been building, and we’re grateful to be part of what He is continuing to do. This next year will be a season of preparation for our family as we get ready for the move to Malawi.

We want to be clear—this is not a fundraising announcement. Right now, we’re simply asking for prayer:

  • First, please pray for our church, Redemption Road Church—that God would continue to be faithful there, and that He would provide leadership, unity, and care as we transition out of our roles.
  • Second, please pray for our children—that as part of our family remains here and Joseph goes with us, each of them would feel secure, loved, and strengthened in their faith.
  • Third, please pray for our preparation—that God would give wisdom, clarity, and peace as we prepare to move to Malawi.
  • Fourth, please pray for unity in our marriage and family—that we would walk closely together through this season.
  • And finally, please pray for the future safe home—that God would already be preparing every detail, including the girls, the staff, and everything needed for safety and hope.

The same God who has been faithful then… we trust will be faithful now.
